I am incredibly proud to be invited as a guest speaker on Digital Inclusion at the 2016 Australian Internet Governance Forum In Melbourne 11-12 October 2016.
I will be speaking about the importance of digital communications in small rural communities.
“Providing Australians with fast and reliable broadband is just the beginning. If the Internet is to fulfil its potential for both social and economic development we must also ensure that people have the technology and the skills required to participate in our emerging digitally-enabled future. In this highly interactive session a diverse panel will lead an examination of the current gaps in digital inclusion, explore avenues to improve digital inclusion, and propose strategies to ensure that digital inclusion is placed high on the agenda of government, industry and civil society groups and individuals.” www.igf.org.au
